Natanam Adinar Keerthanam

A popular keerthanam in the raga Vasantha penned by the poet Gopalakrishna Bharati speaks about the blissful dance of Lord Nataraja in Chidambaram. With the eight directions trembling and the head of Adhisesha rocking, with the earth-shaking, drops of Ganges scatter from his knotted hair, the poet, Gopalakrishna Bharathiyar praises the supreme being, who holds the damaru (drum) suggestive of the sound of life, the vibrations underlying all currents of creation and manifestation.
